Capsicum chlorosis virus (CaCV) was first discovered by Australian scholars on the chilli pepper. There are not many cases of this plant virus infection in phalaenopsis in Taiwan. According to scholars' observations, virus infection may be related to specific species hybridization or cold climates. Plants infected with CaCV exhibite signs of chlorotic ringspots.

CaCV is a Tospovirus, which is an important plant virus causes a great loss to crops and ornamental flower industries worldwide. CaCV infections have been reported in cash crops (such as tomatoes, bell peppers, and groundnuts) and ornamental flowers (such as gloxinias and orchids), which again highlights the importance of detecting the virus.

Agitest Plant Virus Rapid Test - CaCV, is an immunochromatographic test for detection of Capsicum chlorosis virus in plant and orchid. All reagents required for the test are included in the test kit. Results are interpreted visually.
